The Building Church story started several years ago when the Lord began to work with David and Stephanie towards planting a new church.  David was at a park in Jackson, Louisiana, sitting at a picnic table when the Lord spoke to him out of Isaiah 49.  It was so clear what God was saying and what he wanted to do with this new church.  The next question was where was this great thing going to happen?

David felt a call to the Northern Alabama region and began taking periodic trips into the area.  The first trip to Huntsville there was no confirmation and so he kept still. After a while he returned with his family where he felt the Lord tugging at him to come to Huntsville.  The more he prayed the better he felt about the area. 

Then the day came when he spoke to Pastor Larry Stockstill, Senior pastor at Bethany World Prayer Center, about the vision the Lord had given him.  That very day it was like a ton of bricks came off his shoulders.  The weight of obeying God had lifted.  He resigned his position and began the move to Huntsville. 

Since the decision was made to come to Huntsville, the Red Stone Arsenal has become the news of the area.  Approximately 20-30 thousand people are expected to move into the Huntsville area in the next five years.  This was a confirmation!  Sign after sign has pointed David and Stephanie to Huntsville as a confirmation.  The story began as a word from God, then a dream came from the word, and now the dream is becoming a reality.
