Building Church Philosophy of Ministry We believe that the five fold ministry exists for the edification or the building up of the body and equipping them for the work of the ministry. That is why we are called the “Building Church”. We believe the church exists to help provide a safe place to help grow a healthy family around Christian values. The church also is to provide a vision that people can connect to, to accomplish great things. We believe the church is to further the Gospel to the local community and to the nations of the world. The church should also nurture believers into a deeper walk with God. The church also is part of God's plan to protect believers from seducing spirits and lies of the world. The church must also meet needs of individuals and the community. We believe in developing individuals to their full potential in God. We think a great sign of success is that others are becoming successful around you. Building strong relationships with individuals is the key to forming a solid team. Teamwork is really the only way to reach a city and nation. Sincere interest in individuals for more than just what they can give is key to securing loyalty. We believe everybody on the team must enjoy what they are doing, so that they are operating in life and joy. Finding the right spot for every individual is key to having a team full of life. When the leader and team are full of life, the church will also become a life-giving church. We believe we must be relevant to capture every generation and present Christ to them is a way they can understand His goodness. We believe Sunday morning is going to be our time to present Christ in a relevant way. To keep relevance I think we should build teams of young believers that have input into the vision of the church. We believe in encouraging people and not pressuring them. Helping them get to the next level should not be through coercion or manipulation, but through teaching and encouraging. We believe in respecting and honoring churches and pastors that are helping build the Kingdom and staying away from a critical spirit. We believe in fomenting the unity of pastors in a city. We believe that after God, my family is my first priority. We believe in a balance of ministry and family life. We believe that church does not need to take away from your family time but can enhance it. Church should not be that difficult. We should make growing in God as easy for believers as possible by taking advantage of technology and by being innovative. We believe that we have as a church the obligation to be part of taking the Gospel to all nations, by building a strong local church that has deep roots in the community and a network of other churches that are connected, then focusing on helping impact key cities and nations with strategic investments. Prayer is the foundation that everything is built on. It is the engine behind every God activity and God idea. Right now we have a team of eight intercessors that are praying daily for the formation of the right team and the successful launch of this plant. We believe the pulpit is a place of responsibility, where we should build believers and encourage them. I think that taking the pulpit lightly is a huge oversight and we must speak to His bride as we would to our bride. As pastors we believe that as a team our goal will be to win people, see them restored and rebuilt, then empower them to reach their dreams. We feel that we should have a large vision that is impossible to reach in our own strength that keeps us dependant on God. |
